One Final Parting Shot from St. Patrick - His BREASTPLATE!

One of the greatest prayers ever prayed in the history of the Church - undisputed to be one of the most well-known.  Patrick KNEW that the powers of darkness were real and he and his disciples used the weapons that God has given us to oppose the kingdom of darkness, to set captives free, to overcome the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11), and to ultimately see thousands of churches planted and millions of souls saved. (I am thinking not just of the impact in his own lifetime but the Celtic missionary movement in subsequent generations. and even what they inspired throughout the centuries since then).  Pray this today - Declare it today. For yourself, for your family, for your church, for your city, for your county, for your state and even for your nation.  THE BREASTPLATE OF ST. PATRICK  (AD433) I ARISE TODAY  Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity, Through belief in the Threeness, Through confession of the Oneness of the Creator of creation. ...

WHO was the REAL St. Patrick? (2023 Update)

Most of what we have heard about "St. Patrick" amounts to Fake 'Theological' News. It seems many want to claim his as their own, the Roman Catholic Church being the loudest voice. But additionally, there have been a growing number of Christians in recent years claiming to be "Celtic" and/or seeking to recover Celtic roots or Celtic 'spirituality' - and tragically, much of that is also counterfeit or polluted. In short, the Celtic Christian movement is being used to justify a lot of agendas - social ones and spiritual ones, including a lot of modern New Age mysticism. So who were the Celtic Christians? and who was St. Patrick the Apostolic pioneer who sparked that entire movement?  Most people are unaware of the incredible life and legacy of the REAL Saint Patrick. The following summary of his life is primarily taken from two books about Patrick’s life and ministry – one is a biography entitled Let Me Die in Ireland , by David Bercot (Scroll Publishin...

Before St. Patrick's Day - some 'inclusive' thoughts

Annually, I post something about St. Patrick - that will come tomorrow when we celebrate St. Patrick's Day. It is true that most people know NOTHING about him. Nothing about his youth, his call, and his incredible ministry. He moved in incredible apostolic and prophetic gifting. He changed the course of history. Truly when we talk of the Celtic Church, the churches he and his disciples planted, we are talking about REVIVAL with all caps! Beyond Revival, we could call it an AWAKENING and some would even go as far as considering their legacy to be beyond that - We can't rightfully call it a REFORMATION as there was nothing to reform - the Celts were pagan Druids and the Gospel took root in their culture - displaced the pagan, occult religion of the day and replaced it with a form of Apostolic Christianity. I say "a form" as there was quite a bit of Apostolic diversity in the earliest centuries - especially as we got into the 4th and 5th centuries. It has been argued, an...

The Schemes of the Devil (2 Cor 2:11, Eph. 6:11)

The Schemes of the Devil (2 Cor 2:11, Eph. 6:11) Awareness of & Standing Against  “the schemes of the devil” 2 Corinthians 2:11 - 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes. Ephesians 6:10-12 - 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 1 Corinthians 12:10 – “to another the ability to distinguish between spirits” “He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit.” “…the ability to tell the difference between gifts that come from the Spirit and those that do not” A Vision for Freedom Luke 6:17-18  - 17 When Jesus had come down from the hill wi...
