Eating as God Designed (because your life depends upon it)

Lent has begun and many Christians are incorporating changes to their way of eating as they seek the Lord. I know that many will not be fasting, but Lent historically was a time Christians fasted.

Nearly 10 years ago, I changed the way I was eating. I believe God was offering me a rescue plan from a future of massive health problems related to the toxic diet I had been eating all of my life.

After following a body builder into a low carb diet that was totally unlivable (basically a form of starvation) but that produced incredible results where I lost 30+ pounds.

I soon discovered that there were other low carb approaches that were far more livable. The first stop was Ketogenic (Keto). It is a great place to start a low carb lifestyle. For some, it is a great long term approach but for me it ended up leading to too much cheating/non-compliance. 

One of the influencers I began to follow was Dr. Ken Berry - see his video below. He too had started Ketogenic and migrated to a Carnivore lifestyle.

That is where I shifted to eating Carnivore - meaning meat, eggs and dairy. Animal fats and proteins.

Dr. Berry talks about a concept called the Proper Human Diet (PHD) which he rightly argues is how people have eaten from the beginning.

Our problem is that we have gone far from that PHD. God designed us to thrive on a certain way of eating and when we return to it we will become healthy again.

If you are reading this blog post, I pray you will consider what I am about to say as your life depends upon it.

Many people end up cutting their lives short, literally dying 10 to 20 years before they would die because of metabolic conditions/disease. God has left a lot in our hands. Tragically, many Christians abuse the concept of God's sovereignty believing they will die when God wants them to regardless of how they live.

I would exhort you today to watch and consider carefully what Dr. Ken Berry is saying. While I don't believe he is a Christian (and alludes to the way we evolved to eat a certain way), I am convinced that his counsel/approach is in alignment with God's design for our lives.

Do this for 60 days and I assure you, your life will be transformed.
