Not giving up

This past week I visited with two people who we have prayed for a number of times and have yet to see the miracle. We prayed again and yet we are still waiting for the breakthrough. We often learn more in failure than we do in success. What do we 'really believe' about God? About His willingness and readiness to heal? About His goodness? Both of these families are Muslims. Both have encountered the Kingdom and have received a measure of healing for different conditions. However, both of them are still facing the need for a major miracle - one who is deaf, the other who is imprisoned in a wheelchair. I don't change my theology to match my experience. I contend for my experience to come into further alignment with the Life of Jesus in the Word of God. Jesus wasn't lying when He said that "the same works I do, you shall do"? (even though countless millions of Christians act/live/expect as if he was lying and didn't mean that). When I don't manifest ...

The Lord directing a meeting - the way it should be!

This past week in a home meeting we saw the Lord break-in with both healing and prophecy. Two Filipino women who came to seek the Lord were surprised as the Lord began to give us words of knowledge for them for healing. They received healing from several different conditions. One of them who wanted prayer for some cysts, was touched powerfully by the Lord. As the Spirit came upon her, two of us got the exact same word of knowledge for pain the back left-hand side of her head/neck. Others got some prophetic insight into cause of this condition and she was delivered and healed from it as she lay on the floor. The Lord really directed us that night with many words of knowledge and healing followed. Foot pain, knee problems, shoulder conditions, etc. Isaac of Ninevah and others received a number of pictures and visions during the meeting. A highlight of the evening was when one young man who had had a major encounter with the Lord the week before, came back to testify what happened ...

Gulf Arab man, who was healed before, gets his knee healed

The other night as Isaac of Ninevah and I met with a young Gulf Arab man, I received a word of knowledge for a knee problem. Our friend had a knee that bothered him from an old injury. I told him that the Lord was going to heal it. This man had had experience with healing because several years earlier he was one of the first people we saw healed of a serious condition - clinical depression. His healing from that so amazed his family that they actually asked a Christian Arab co-worker of mine to "teach our son about your faith". From that point on, this man has been reading the Bible regularly. Finally we got around to praying for his healing - it took a while because Isaac had so many prophetic words!!! (we've gotta change his name to "Isaac the Revelator"). After prayer, he said his knee felt better, but I always want to check how it is the next day before really speaking of a healing - especially when it concerns a long term, chronic kind of condition. I...

Back in the Game

Well, it's been a long time since I've posted, but I've got some good stuff to share. First of all, an odd event. . . I was walking yesterday and really wanted to buy some water, but like a good postmodern, I had no cash whatsoever and using a credit card for $.20 is too big a hassle. So, I looked in my wallet really carefully because I knew I didn't have any cash the last time, but I thought that there might be an off-chance I missed some. Well, there wasn't any. However, as I was reaching to put my wallet back into my pocket, I had the crazy thougt that maybe the Lord hooked me up with some cash supernaturally. So, I looked again and there it was: enough to get two waters. The other day, I prophesied over a friend about cherry blossoms in winter. A few days later, I received confirmation that they had been born in winter and that they loved cherries. It might sound small, but it sure feels good when you prophesy over someone and it makes sense to their hea...

yemeni man healed in neighborhood shop

While I was standing in a little shop, I got a word of knowledge for one of the men who was there - it was for his foot. He verified that he had an old sports injury there and I explained quickly what God showed me and what he wanted to do. I then laid hands upon his foot and prayed. I just found out from our friends that he was healed after we prayed and wants to meet to 'understand' exactly what happened, as well as have other family members who need healing receive prayer. So often we let the little opportunities pass us by - we run into the market and don't tune in to what the Holy Spirit is saying. We are distracted or talking on the mobile phone. I often wonder how many of these little divine appointments I miss because of these things.

former Muslim sees vision at their baptism

A former Arab Muslim was baptized this past week. It was a powerful time, where we contended for the fullness that should accompany Christian baptism - at Jesus' Baptism, the Holy Spirit came and He entered His ministry "in the power of the Spirit". John the Baptist, looking towards Pentecost, speaks of Jesus who would "baptize with the Holy Spirit". As this believer was baptized, we waited for the Holy Spirit to come and release a vision. Faithfully, the Holy Spirit came and opened up a vision for our precious new family member. The Spirit came in power and for quite a long time this believer was under the heavy weight of God's presence. Should we expect any less during Christian baptism? What we are discovering, is that nearly every time we lay hands upon a believer and ask for God to give them a vision, they are having visions. Whatever else we want to believe Acts 2 is teaching us to expect when the Spirit comes, visions are clearly the most obviou...

African pastor shares about our visit to his Church

We saw many of the works of God in the congregation. Most people (were) filled by the Holy Ghost, healed from many inside and outside problem(s). For example: from depression, headache, deaf spirit, from shoulder injury, closed nose opened and so on. (Our African) fellowship leaders really happy and blessed by them . Also God was glorified in our fellowship. God bless them. Note: this was a service where I saw ministering with one other friend something like 30 healings. They were so expectant for God to move, so hungry and so full of faith.
