JOEL 2 GENERATION

The goal (purpose) of our instruction is LOVE (1 Tim. 1:5)

فَالنُّورُ الْحَقِيقِيُّ الَّذِي يُنِيرُ كُلَّ إِنْسَانٍ كَانَ آتِيًا إِلَى الْعَالَمِ.

Today I was listening to a very convicting message by Dan Mohler as he was basically taking apart the common charismatic expression, "I felt led" (or worse, "I just didn't feel led").  The context of his comments had to do with the reason most Christians who believe in healing actually don't pray for sick people (or injured people) when they see them.  In short, Dan's exhortation is that we simply don't ever need a "special word" from the Lord or "leading" to approach a person that Jesus died for and longs to love through us.   In the tradition that I come from (which shall remain nameless at this point), the "doing what the Father's doing" teaching made a lot of more Reformed-minded Christians who believed in the present-day operation of the miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit feel more comfortable with their notions of God's sovereignty in healing.  Sadly because many of them didn't actually believe it was ...

This morning I was Skype chatting from here in the Middle East with a buddy who had been stranded in the Nairobi airport.  I began to "see" someone he was supposed to minister to.  I wrote to him, Telling him that "I "saw" a guy cleaner in the airport that has some lower back pain (right side) - I see him wearing a blue uniform. [He] might have mop with him and one of those rolling mob/water things." He writes back, "I might know of just the guy, I just gave him some money. I'll go back and ask about the back pain." Then I get this message, "Hey DJ, as i was one my way to my gate i found your boy... he was bent over wiping the walls near the floor with a wrag wearing a blue worker suit . I told him that I was a healer, at first he didn't understand then another guy helped me and sure enough - he had back pain . Put my hand on his back and immediately I felt his back start heating up. A 20 secound prayer and he was all good!!! thanks ...

Dancing girl and I went spilling today at Starbuck's.  Dancing girl got a word of knowledge for a knee problem so we asked the manager if she or the other employee had any pain in their knees.  The manager said that she had a lot of pain in her knee due to varicose veins.  She was very nervous for us to pray but we told her to put her hand on her knee, we would keep our eyes open while we were praying and that it would take seconds.  The other employee was encouraging her to get prayer, that she needed healing and that it would be quick.  It was hilarious!  Dancing girl prayed quickly and then the manager didn't say anything when we finished.  She just kept her hand on her knee and was sitting there stunned.  I asked her what she was feeling and she said that all the pain was gone and so was the lump.   She continued to search for the lump that had disappeared but she couldn't find it.  The manager said, "I am healed."

  فِي الْبَدْءِ كَانَ الْكَلِمَةُ، وَالْكَلِمَةُ كَانَ عِنْدَ اللهِ. وَكَانَ الْكَلِمَةُ هُوَ اللهُ .

Today while walking through a Middle Eastern mall, I noticed a teenage guy with a bandaged wrist.  I stopped him and asked what happened.  He told me he had fallen playing sports.  I asked him his name and he was a muslim.  Without even telling him what I was going to do, I asked him to put his own hand on his wrist and said, "watch this"!  In the middle of the mall, with many people passing us by, I simply broke off the shock and trauma and released healing in Christ's Name.  I asked him to check it out – and ALL the pain was gone as he checked it out.  I made sure he was all good and he was.  As he left us, I am sure he was thinking what just happened when a Christian prayed for him.
