FEAR Extinguishers (DAY 24) - sharing Jesus with an Indonesian Muslim woman

This morning during my wife's prayer walk she felt "drawn" to a woman that was passing by.  So she went up to her and asked her how she was.  She hadn't been out of her house in 2 weeks and so my wife just offered and began praying for her.  She thought she was a Filipino but she was an Indonesian Muslim.  After the prayer, she thanked her and asked about the Church we attend.  She expressed an interest in coming to visit our church.  She explained that she was born a Muslim but wasn't sure about anything.  My wife began speaking boldly about Jesus - that we do what Jesus did and how amazing He is and even told the woman to ask Jesus personally to reveal Himself to her, to ask Jesus, "Who are you"?  She wondered if it could be possible!  She asked for my wife's phone number.  May she truly begin to ask Jesus to show Himself to her, to show her the truth!

One of the prayers we have been praying as we go out to pray for people and "to extinguish their fears" is that we would meet those who are open and want to learn more about Jesus. That was the case this morning with this Muslim woman.

They were able to pray for others this morning as well - a Bulgarian family also while on the walk and then a Filipino woman at the supermarket who my wife had prayed for several years ago.  It was such a divine appointment with the woman from the Philippines as they were asked to suddenly move from their apartment due to a full curfew being implemented in that particular area.  So she was overwhelmed having had to do all of that so quickly.

Not every opportunity is ideal and sometimes people are not willing to be prayed.  This happened this morning when I tried to engage an Irish woman who we stopped to assist who had found a stray puppy.  How ironic that followers of non-Christian religions can so often be more open to prayer than those raised in a Christian tradition!

...for such a time as this!
