FEAR Extinguishers (DAY 18) - when someone prophesies over us to confirm our mandate!
Today on my second prayer walk, the Lord opened the door for us to pray for and encourage many more people - Christians, Muslims, Hindus, and at least one Buddhist. Between 10 and 15 more people - from restaurant employees to delivery people again from a number of different nations.
In one place, their salaries have been cut by 30% and so they welcomed our prayer that God would restore their salaries to their full amounts. I got to pray for the manager also in Arabic. It was at one of our favorite restaurants and so we were all looking forward to celebrating with food together - and the manager said it would be "on the house"!
The most powerful encounter, however, was with a Filipino woman who we had ministered to last week. We got to pray for her Arab husband who had lost his ID card, which is a huge problem with so many checkpoints. We prayed that God would reveal to them where it was. While we were with her, my wife said that we continue to go around and check on people and to pray for them...and then she declares..."It is like it is YOUR MISSION to do that"! My wife confirmed back to her, "Yes, that is our mission". Little did this woman know how much her words encouraged us! What a prophetic utterance - confirming to us the very mandate that God has given us and our community at this time - to be "fear extinguishers"!
...for such a time as this!
